I had rust stains on my carpet from tools and parts that sat on the floor for five years. It all came off once I hit it with resolve with oxyclean and a bucket of water with a rag. Spray the resolve in and let it set in for 30 mins (dependant on the stain). Then take the rag from your water bucket and scrub away wringing away excess into the bucket. Some will tell you not to scrub, but to blot it out. I scrubbed, and everything turned out GREAT!!

Ive done that before. Instead of changing my carpets to black (from gray) I sprayed painted them. I used regular enamel though. Id advise against that . Made my carpet rough (My ricer phase). After doing that, I never vacuumed the car ever again. Id just keep spraying it .

simple green is not made for carpet cleaning, spot the stains that might come up first with some high traffic spray like resolve, then take a bucket of hot water and lightly scrub the carpet a little at a time until it comes clean. you can use a small handled brush and brush out the stains going oppisite directions.i did my drivers side mat that way and it came up nice.

GRIOT's GARAGES CARPET CLEANER. I have had tons of **** in my rugs. They are the original rugs that came with the car, 160k miles! nelledge showed me this stuff, reallly surprised me. best stuff for carpet cleaning. Not expensive either!

Before and after, they were both equally dirty. oil, dirt, and food stains on these rugs! ugh.

Something else to use is Tuff Stuff (Comes in a yellow can) I've had great results with using that stuff on my carpet and a few other spots on both of my vehicles.

this new meguiars stuff is pretty good. My cousin gave me his OE maxima mats, they were funky. had some oil stains on them, I actually thought someone had dyed them a dark color, sprayed this stuff on..let it set...them wipe off. Not much elbow grease required

found this stuff at big lots for $2 a can. I bought like 10 cans...LOL

Meg's makes a product called All Purpose Cleaner Plus. You can buy it buy the gallon and you dilute it either 10:1 or 4:1. My process is the following:
1. Get a stiff bristled brush and brush out the mats or carpet
2. Vacuum well (shopvacs are perfect for this)
3. Spray 4:1 diluted APC+ on the spots and let it sit for a minute or so
4. Use the same brush or terry cloth towels to scrub or brush out the mats
5. Vacuum again
You might need to go through this process a few times, but that product works miracles.
On a side note - the Little Green Clean Machine does an ok job, but does not have the suction to get all the water out of the mats.

I did this the other day and it worked out well:
Take a clean rag, spray Simple Green on it and scrub the floor to get heavy stuff out. Then take a more stiff rag, I had this bristle tool, and put upholstery shampoo on..scrub...and it made it look brand new

I think carpet shampoo will be a good option for car carpet cleaning. Carpet shampoo is one of the upholstery cleaners that are extensively used to clean not only the upholstery of the car seats but also the carpet of the car. Before using the carpet shampoo, use a wet-dry vacuum cleaner to vacuum the carpet. This would free the carpet of minute dust particles including hair, paper bits and sand. Use a scrub brush to rub in the shampoo foam into the carpet. Use as little water as possible when scrubbing the carpet. Once you have cleared the dirt and stains from the carpet, rinse the carpet well to remove the suds. The last step is to vacuum the carpet using wet-dry vacuum cleaner. Dry the car carpet well, prior to using it again. Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel is very good product for car carpet cleaning.

Our beater '93 Altima came with beige carpet and a few really dark deep coffee? stains. Over the years I tried a few halfhearted efforts with carpet cleaners, simple green and even handheld heated steam cleaners but could never remove it fully.
I'm not in the car much anymore but noticed it while giving the car a once in a while cleaning and decided to try SEM color coat.
They had a surprising number of tan/beige,etc colors and I found one a little lighter that actually was pretty close. Masking everything off with all windows down, I hit the spots with a few thin close shots, using a small brush to soften the carpet fibers up in between coats to prevent clumping and stiffening. After 2-3 spot coats, I backed away and gave a few dust coats to a larger radius to help with blending. Next, more light brushing, etc.
Now while drying down it wasn't perfect but after an hour or so, I couldn't tell any difference in color or texture/feel. It was a last resort but I was pretty impressed with the result for small spots...

Re: Carpet cleaning
Re Removing the dirt and smell from the car is essential. Proper vacuuming is required for the interior of the cars several times per month. In a year at least once give your carpet a deep cleaning. To clean the carpets in your care use rented steam machine. The process of cleaning should be followed on a clear, sunny day for deep cleaning. When the carpet has been cleaned completely then, opens the car windows to allow the carpets to dry so that fresh air can circulate and the carpet will dry faster. Baking soda and vinegar are also used for removing the smell from the carpets.

The best automobile carpet cleaner I've used is
Blue Coral (Liquid). Vacuum first and then spray until wet and scrub with a stiff nylon brush. Let it dry and vacuum again. Works great on removing grease and even removed a sucker that had melted into the seat upholstery. The Blue Coral Upholstery and Carpet cleaner is also great in the house. I’m a big fan of green cleaning. Even if I hire any Commercial janitorial services Brampton, I would check whether they are Eco logo certified.

Steam Cleaning
Steam Cleaning is the best method when cleaning any type of carpet. Most companies will come out to your house and clean it professionally for about 130... Seems high at first but the seats and carpet will look like new!
