I plan to do a small vinyl edge wrap on roof of my 2016 maxima, can I use something other than isopropyl to
"strip" any wax or debris from paint, When I plan to do a wax job I always use Dawn dish soap to strip
wax and what ever from paint, would this be enough?.

I use Blackfire Paint Prep. It removes the wax and polishing oils on the paint.
