just got back from the dyno...
just got home from a dyno and i'm not sure how i did. my first run was 170hp/157tq... 2nd run: 169hp/156.6tq... 3rd: 166.6hp/155.3tq. today was about 80deg and very humid. and i have a cheapo intake with midpipe, ypipe, and bpipe w/ stock muffler. i looked on the dyno forum but didn't see anything to compare my #'s to. so are these numbers decent with my mods and 87k on the car? oh, and it was dynoed on a DYNAPACK chassis dyno. thanks in advance.

They sound like good numbers to me especially at the wheels with just those mods you have. And you have a good 1/4 time in your sig(probably can get it down a little with more track time). Just my 2 cents but I think they are real good numbers for the mods

yes, i am a 5spd... and i'm a dumba$$ for resetting my ecu i think. at the track i ran a .15 better 1/4, so i thought i'd try it again. i don't know if it hurt me or not. also, it was/is a very hot day... its almost 90deg. but at the same time... i was with 2 other 350Z's.. and they were putting down 230-240hp and i'm not sure about torque. but looking at my torque curve, it looks really curvey... vs. my hp curve which is very smooth compared. i'll scan my print out sometime soon, but i'll try to explain how my tq curve looks like.
starts off @ 1,989rpm:155ft/lbs...drops to 147lbs,and back to 150lbs @2800rpms... @ 3100 142lbs... then jumps to 157lbs at 3800... @4100 its at 148lbs... and peaks again 5000 @ 155... then drops like a brick to 6400. i really don't know what could have caused this... i'm going to start checking over things, but if anyone has any suggestions i'd appreciate it. i just thought i'd be putting down a little more.

the numbers are not corrected... but i did check my codes the next day... KS code... its been replaced... and i'm pretty sure everything is back to normal... but i haven't been back to verify that yet. but how do you correct for temp? it was about 90deg and ~60%humidity.

I was gonna say that your torque numbers seemed uncharacterisitcally low for a 4th gen 5spd and that your knock sensor is probably blown. Sorry for not seeing the thread earlier. Been busy this past summer.

see if you can get back too the shop and have them print you out the corrected numbers. If it was 90+ out your numbers aren't that bad uncorrected...

hey... went back to the same dyno last weekend... made some improvement, but not what i expected. i pulled 171hp and 165tq. the hp peaked out a little sooner than it did last time and the tq curve followed the same path as last time, but was about 10-15ft/lbs higher in every spot. i'm just puzzled with my results... my car feels strong. does anyone know if dynopack chassis dyno's will read uncharacteristicly low compared to other dyno's? i'm going to head to another shop/ type of dyno soon, but does anyone know if i'll see a difference between a dynopack v.s. ???. i really don't want to waste another $60. oh, and my air/fuel ratio seemed a little rich... would the fact that i have a test pipe make the reading rich? i'll post the exact #'s later... thnks.
