Wow... Yet another one of these arguments. Comparing one car's dyno numbers to another without it being same day same dyno or at least same dyno same atmospheric conditions is just plain dumb. So what if the dyno read 259whp? What matters is the curve and, if testing changes, the gains made.
The best way to get accurate HP numbers that can be compared to other cars is going to be at a track, but then you're still having to take into account the weight of the car, atmospheric conditions, wind, driver skill... For example another user posted a 13.1@108 recently. If you just compare that to my 12.6@108 you'd say we had the same power. However, I had full interior and ~100lbs of tools in my car during my run while he stripped his car down to a driver seat.
Again, that SSIM car that made 279 WHP is not likely within 7WHP of my own. Different dynos, conditions... etc. I'm sure if I went around to a few local dynos, I could find one that tells me I'm making over 300whp. Does that matter, though?
If you think that by making numbers higher than mine with your next round of mods it will make you faster, don't be so sure. I'm not trying to be cocky here, but how are you to know that your 300whp on that dyno isn't the same as 286 whp on my dyno?
I just want to note that Aaron92SE and Sparks03max both live "out his way". What was that again?

Thanks man.....AND they made 279HP with no timing adjustments...would have been MORE.....
I seen SSIMed 5.5Gens with Tunes making 279hp.....no problem.
Funny how no one talked trash to SPARKS when he did 285hp with his custom manifold, telling him he put another car dyno on his chart or saying he did a 1st gear pull, bla bla bla.......
You don't have to believe it. I don't care. YES...the NUMBERS ARE HIGH...isn't that the point?? 259HP hate all you want!! I learned alot and put alot of time researching what to put on my car.....AND when I get my custom IM built with LRMAF and 3.5" intake tubing and a TUNE it will be EVEN MORE....might even pass sparks!! So continue HATING it motivates me just like the G35 in my rear view mirror

This still does not add up. Do you have the results of another car that ran on the dyno there. These numbers are high. Again im NOT hating on you. But this is just high, full bolt-on tuned cars have not made those numbers. Dyno do read high which is what i believe the case is 245-250whp would be believable and really strong numbers.
But of course everybody thinks their car is a factory freak, and if thats the case well its pointless to contunie trying to talk to you.

I can spot BS when i see, the fact that he automatically accused me of hating lets me know this is BS. I've been researching VQ35s for a long time, looking at multiple dynos of bolt on and tuned cars and these numbers make the built motors that have been done look like a waste of time. If he had cams i would believe but the fact that he doesnt, this car is untuned and im quite sure this is a 3rd gear pull.....
That is a full bolt on car TUNED. So this guy is making MORE torque than it? R.I.P to Bish, but cmon man this is just BS. That tq gave it away.

By the way, and just as an addition to the conversation... This is what my car made Tuned with stock MAF, 3" short ram, vias deleted stock IM on the exact same dyno that I made the 286whp pass on. The torque to HP relationship is right on for what ranmas made. Now the numbers might not match up... I can guarantee you that my 264whp in this run is not very close to the 259hp in his, regardless of the fact that the numbers are close. Same dyno same day I would expect around a ~15 whp difference tune vs no tune.

I think Ranmas should do it. He's got nothing to lose, If it were me id do it. You do realize crusher if he does it again and makes the same power give or take a few that would be an all time ultimate backfire...C'mon Ranmas where you at ?
