I have 22,000 miles on there now. I think the time interval is 30,000 miles or so. that info is in the manual.

I just want to change mine early.

Just PM talkinghorse. He is an authorized Amsoil dealer and I have bought from him some motor oil and ATF. He wakes up at 7 am on Monday to place an order for me! He is currently offering discounted prices in the GD forum. Good luck, bro.

Oh, BTW, I just remembered that the ATF from Amsoil is universal, so there is only 1 type of red ATF from Amsoil.

For an auto, use product code ATF.

For a manual, product code TGR is best.

I am also an authorize Amsoil dealer, PM me if interested for discounted prices year round. I don't charge sales tax either. There is a new distribution center in Orlando so the products would get to you quickly.

The best one to use for a manual transmisison is the Series 2000 75W-90. It's the one I use in all my vehicles now. Overall, it offers the best value.

You want to use only GL-4. They are hard to find anywhere. But if you use other than GL-4, say bye bye to your synchros sooner.

Conventional gear oils need to be GL4 only. The high quality synthetics can be formulated to meet the both the GL4 and GL5 level without having the harmful EP additives attack the softer metals, which could lead to synchro failure. I've used Amsoil's gear lubes in my 5 speed Maxima and many other GL4 only transmissions with no issues at all.

There are a few threads around here regarding who is using what in their transmissions. Amsoil and Redline are the most popular. Some people swear by one, some the other.

I'm using Redline MT-90 right now since 60,000 miles ago when it was pink. Now it's yellow. I'll be changing it soon anyways even though it's probably still good. I've used the Amoil Series 2000 GL4 - GL5 and my gears got notchier. So that why I changed it out to Redline GL4. I might try the Amsoil GL4. I also know Royal Purple has a synthetic lube fot again GL4-GL5 and it's called MaxGear...
