what kind of oil do you guys use?

I just purchased my fourth gen not too long ago and it's time for its first oil change. What kind of oil do you guys use (brand, weight, etc.)? Also, how much does this car take with the filter?

Thanks guys.

The car holds 4.5 quarts. When you do the oil change, just add 4 quarts and then add as much oil as you need. I usually put in 4 or 4.25 quarts since there is some oil left over.

http://forums.maxima.org/forumdispla...sprune=30&f=70 There is a Sticky post at the top for the filter choice.

If you don't use synthetic only use castrol GTX. And it's only 4.25 quarts so to that guy putting in 5, way to go bud.

Motor Oil

Mobil 1 Synthetic
10W-30 with Nissan OEM filter
I'm in Texas so the 5W-30 was out of the question for the summers at 100+ temperatures.
I've used Mobil1 Synthetic since day 1.. The car has 90k miles.. Engine runs flawless.

Don't use FRAM filters.
