I have Amsoil Series 2k 75w90 stuff in for about 22k miles now. Anyone know when I should change it next?

Thanks

Every 60k.
I changed mine at 60 with Nissan fluid and that did not improve anything. so at 78k I put in Redline MT90 and that made shifting much easier. You can do it yourself or have an independent do it. Cost me $30 plus my own oil. Dealer charged $50 for labor plus oil.

I got mine changed at a Mr. Lube recently for the first time. The car had 91,400 km on it. It cost Cdn $29.99 plus tax for Quaker State GL4 75W-90. At that price I couldn't be bothered to change it myself as I wasn't going synthetic. The owners manual says to inspect the gear oil periodically with no recommended interval. The Haynes manual sides with Mr. Lube and recommends every 48,000 miles.

The gear oil that came out of my transaxle was black and I didn't like its viscosity. There may be a slight improvement in shifting since the change but it also could be a placebo effect. I can't speak for the Amsoil or Redline.

As I am a low mileage driver I don't think the synthetic was worth it for me. I will likely change again in 48,000 km which could be another 5 or 6 years for me.

Typo I meant change every 48,000 km or 30,000 miles in my 1st paragraph.

60k, or less IMO. Many nissan dealerships locally said never to bother. I personally will be doing 60k anyway, and MT90 is the stuff I'll use. It's around the best stuff you can get for ours cars. I have it in both cars. The 00 was great before, and after. The 97 (93k when I put it in a couple weeks ago) was pretty notchy, especially when cold. I want to say the MT90 has made it better--it probably has--but I'm kind of hesitant, because I hate placebos, but in any case I got it for $8/quart and 4.5 quarts and you're good for another few years.
