I've never heard of it. A full tranny flush will replace all the fluid while the car is running. That includes flushing the torque converter too.

Go to any Jiffy Lube and you can get a flush done for $90. $140 is a bit cheap for normal tranny fluid.

Oh man, I'm sorry. I meant $140 is a bit STEEP for a tranny flush. And how can you put a warranty on a tranny flush? This place sounds shady. He's trying to throw in a torque converter flush, which is bull crap. All they do is remove two lines from your tranmission and connect it to a pump that will pump in new fluid. They let the pump run until they see bright new fluid come out the other end. Since your motor is running while they do this, it pumps out the fluid in the torque converter too.

Don't spend more than $100 for this service that takes 5 minutes to do. But keep in mind, that getting your tranny flushed is much better than just a normal drain and fill. If you haven't kept up on your tranny fluid changing, then I'd recommend you to get the flush. Then after that, keep up with your drain and fills every so often. You can do a drain and fill yourself about every 20K miles and you should be able to keep your fluid in great condition all the time.

I got my tranny flush done in Las Vegas for about $90. That's the only reason why I thought $140 was kinda steep.
