Syn-blend is only about 10% synthetic oil and is a waste of money. Blend your own mix at higher concentrations of synthetic oil.

I use dyno for crankcase and MT-90 full syn. for gear oil because of the improved shifting.

Do the auto-rx leak treatment before switching just to be safe. It also cleans and flushes the engine. This is what i am doing before i switch. BTW, i have 146,000miles. auto-rx.com

Your engine will not leak from using Mobil synthetic . In fact it can help clean the seals , especially the rotational front and rear main seals so they will function better over the rest of the cars life . It will also slowly clean other engine internals so no need to flush the engine before switching over to it .

The Mobil website FAQ states when switching not to go to full extended intervals until the synthetic has been used 2-3 intervals . In saying that , they mean the oil has "cleaning abilities " . Also , Mobil paid a nationally known seal company big bucks to test the compatability of their Supersyn synthetic before it was first announced . The stuff is good for the go in that respect when used in modern engines .

Was Mobil going to be the synthetic of choice for your uses ?
