BG Air Intake Cleaner

in Directions For Use it says: clean TB with half of can, spray into throat working butterfly back and forth. Start engine and spray other half into throat while engine running.....

is it a good idea to spray INSIDE? i thought u only supposed to clean the build-ups outside, no?

You can spray it inside the TB all you want, in fact, it does a great job of getting a lot of the carbon deposits moved down towards the cat and out the rear. While the butterfly valve is wide open, spray the cleaner inside and use a toothbrush to break the deposits loose. I haven't tried the Sea Foam treatment, because I've read mixed opinions about it damaging the O2 sensors.

Anyway, do not spray any cleaner in the TB WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING!! You will throw all kinds of codes. Once you are done spraying inside, reinstall the intake hose and MAF sensor and fire the engine. You will have to lightly press the accelerator down (don't floor it!!) to get the engine to clear its throat. Then give a couple of good throttle presses to clean out the carbon.

Good luck with that!!
