I don't know, but Advance Auto sells CRC products (brake cleaner, throttle body cleaner, etc) so I assume they will sell this as well....

4-10 hp gain could be possible if your MAF is really, really dirty. Ever changed from an "old" (dirty) MAF to a brand new one? I have....the difference is night and day in terms of power and engine smoothness...

I would love to try it. I've been having a problem with my car stalling out when I put the car in Park after driving around. Had a fuel injector flush and throttle body flush already. I think it might be the MAF

Cool. I'll have my local Advance order it. Autozone carries CRC but not these yet. I didn't see any CRC products at my Advance when I looked last week though.

Update - PepBoys had these in stock. I really don't care for their stores but often they carry fluids nobody else does (Redline for instance)

I will subscribe to hear about the actual results. I am very afraid of it shortening the life of the MAF

Never use break cleaner on the MAF, you will damage the thin film resistor!

How does a dirty MAF look like??? I just took mine out today, looked pretty clean to me. I have 200,000 KM on my '00, my acceleration is 9sec 0-60, and at 4000 RPM I feel like something is holding the car back, oh yeah and my gas mileage is *** (8 km/l or 19 MPG). This is frustrating the hell out of me. Everywhere I look everything seems to point to the MAF as being the culprit of the problem, why would I change a $300 part when it looked pretty clean, a little black dust on the mesh but inside the tube it was spotless. CAN SOMEONE HELP HERE!!!Plz

Hows your acceleration? I'd say I drive 50 highway 50 city. When reading up on others with an '00 maxima and same mileage, I see people getting 10 or 11 km/l. With gas prices these days, those extra two km's/l help a lot.

It's been out for a while, it just too a litle bit to reach all the local stores. I've just used it last weekend. I may be a combination of the thorough TB/IM cleaning and a new knock sensor. But the car feel 2X better on the low end (1500-3000rpm). The gas mileage also seems to be improving.

I agree, i've used the CRC electronic contact cleaner and it really works wonders. jus spray the MAF when it is dognose cold, let it air dry and re-install. only thing i noticed, car runs excellent but idle is up a bit from 750rpm to like 800, when i do a volume learn, car performance goes down as well, as well as mileage.

i got a flat pickup around the high end of 1st and the low end of 2nd gear. feels sluggish at those low gears. from what people have said to me, both in real life and on here, these are the things i should be looking at:

1) throttle body cleaning
2) mass air filter
3) knock sensor
4) throttle line tightening
5) fuel filter
6) spark plugs

is there anything im missing?
in what order should i be doing these things (in terms of importance)?
all help appreciated.

Local autoparts store wanted almost $12 for that CRC MAF cleaner! Most other CRC products in that store were between $2 and $4. I was going to try it to revive my old MAF cleaner just for fun but $12 is too much. I suppose if it were available in the past, I might had tried it before ordering the new MAF. Has anybody managed to get rid of P0171 code after using this particular cleaner on their MAF?
