What Exactly is Nissan Matic-D Fluid?

Does anyone know if this stuff is just re-labeled Dexron?

I called the dealer today, and they sold me in Canada, their dino fluid for the 93 GXE in a bottle called KEYLINE. He claims that it is Matic-D. The FSM states Dexron IIE. Is Matic-D the same thing as Dexron IIE or fully compatible?

IMO it is a high quality DexronIII with boutique friction modifiers known only to Nissan. Nothing unique with this fluid, there are good OTC replacements for it. Castrol MV Import ATF is one and is JASO compatible to Nissan specs from FM levels.
