Oil recommendation

I just got my first car. A 03 Maxima with 120K, I want to seafoam it and do an oil change, since I didn't ask the dealer when last it had been changed.

What motor oil do you guys recommend for a 03 with 120K?
How often do you seafoam your VQ35?
-Thanks

it calls for 5w30. there is a Sticky in this forum that describes oils. If you want to do the 3750 mile changes go with Castrol GTX. If you want to do extended oil changes 7500-10000 miles then mobil 1.

I used mobil1 0w-40 for the wider range and supposed more advanced formulation

Cars basically don't have oil related failures anymore. Any name brand 5w-30 that is API-certified SM and/or ILSAC GF-5 oil with a decent filter is fine. Only if you live in an extreme cold climates or extended drain intervals do you need a synthetic.

The best synthetics for the maxima engine are Amsoil, Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum/Ultra, and German Castrol.
