hey everyone i have a quick question about rpms... now i dont know too much about cars, enough to get by, an im learning a lot. espcially since i just got my max. ANYWAY, at 70 mph how many rpms should i be at??

Are you auto or 5 speed. Also it matter what gear you are in....

 

5 speed and lets say 5th gear.

 

Oh, sorry i dont have 5 speed, im sure someone that has one will answer. But my guess would be maybe 3K.....also, why do you ask?

 

At 70 mph In 5th gear my car runs @ 2700 rpm.
At 80 mph In 5th gear my car runs @ 3300-3400 rpm.

 

ok that sounds about right for me...i was just checking, this is my first standard so im just trying to see if everything checks out ok.
