Amsoil just tastes better in my cereal after a long drain interval rather than a short one......

Alex. Okay now we are getting somewhere.

Oil at 7,500 miles. Some would be crap by then and some will be just fine. Can you agree with that? Especially since Bill's analysis clearly shows which are good and which are crap?

Oil filters. What you state in general about engines running cleaner is true. But until a good study comes out that specifically deals with oil filter degradation over time, no good opinion can be made in the subject. Find a study and I'll take a lot.

Man you guys are FAST! I was trying to review all the posts I missed and sure enough you guys had already posted.

Anyways, I totally agree with these statements Jeff. It's been "fun".

I'll keep you posted on anything I dig up. I'm commited to helping flush out data for Bills spreadsheet, since it takes me WAY too long to gather it myself.

No problems. In fact, if you DO happen upon some oil filter tests that deal with performance/longevity, please list them up. A good partner to the oil analysis.

I do work for the company that makes FRAM.

Too bad those probably wouldn't be good results.

I had to use one like this in my sailboat diesel as you cannot get a pan under the engine so you leave the worst stuff. The problem is you cannot get to the low points where the really badly contaminated oil and sludge settles.
Drain plug rules!
