My Max just turned eight today. I bought this car brand new 8 years ago today ('95 GXE 4th Gen.). It only had 6 miles on it when I bought it. Nissan had just released the new 4th generations when I was looking for a new car. In fact, only a select few Nissan dealerships in my area had the new Max's. Actually, at the time, I was interested in buying an Altima. In the summer of 1994, I am glad I waited a few months later in buying a new car, because I had test driven almost every sedan car on the market at the time, and the Max blew them all away! I went to the Nissan dealer to buy an Altima, and the salesman recommended me in test driving the new Max. I said "What, the new Maximas are out? WOW! I gotta have this car!" It was only a few more thousand dollars than the Altima SE. Boy, am I glad I made one of the best decisions in my life choosing a well built car! I love this car! I'm not going to trade it for the world until it "dies".

Good work buddy, at first I was gonna buy a, I think it was 95, Integera, it was only about 8 thousand (Canadian), but something held me back, I don't know what it was cosmic forces I guess. Held me back for over a week, then I cracked I needed a car I went back to the same dealership and found out it was sold! I was about to go home and cry when I saw a nice looking Black Sedan that was brought only 2 days ago, I asked 'what is that?' and the guy said to me 'That my friend is a Nissan Maxima'. I asked for a test drive, I took it out and loved it! But it was 14 thousand dollars (once again Canadian) I went home upset that I would never again drive that black wonder. But the next day my Mom said that she, my Grandmother, God Mother, and God Father were all willing to pitch in a little, cause they knew how bad we needed a second car, due to my parents being divorced and all (long story believe me), so with their blessing and my 8 thousand dollars, I went back a day later, was very happy it wasn't sold, 30 mins later I left the proud owner of a 96 SE life can't get much better!
