when my car is at 2800-3000 rpms, a slight buzzing / static-like noise comes from my engine. for some reason it only happens at those certain rpms. if im below that, it sounds just fine, or when i go above 3000 rpms, the noise goes away. possibly from the blower i think. its not TOO annoying, but the thing is 3000 rpms in 5th gear is my cruising speed so it kinda bugs me on a quiet drive. its not the blower whine, its sounds different, scratchy-like. its not the fuel pump either. any suggestions??? thanks

 

When was the last time you inspected/replaced the accessory belt? Maybe if it is frayed it could make this noise?

u talking about the blower belt right. welp havent really inspected it. maybe i should heh. have you replacd yours ever since u got your SC?

 

I had it replaced shortly after installing it (remember I bought it used) since the original one was begininng to fray. I just had it adjusted and inspected since it was squealing some on startup and under WOT.

If one of your vaccum hoses came off, that could make a noise at certain rpms ranges/pressures.
