I'm a college student too but on wednesday the "man upstairs" helped a brotha out by causing some sleet down here in San Antonio, Tx. The whole city shuts down even if someone says the word snow, let alone someone sees some falling from the sky.

Not only was my final rescheduled for next week, but also the 5 page pre-exam paper and the 8 page final paper isn't due till then as well.

Ohh yeah!!! Let's all bow our heads and pray for some more snow.

Snow? Please. We haven't seen real snow here in S.A. for about 8 years. Sleet? We do have plenty of that! ;-)

I know what you mean, though. The temp dips below 40 and stupid schools close. Then the idiots in the offices and malls turn the heaters up to like 85 so that everyone who put on a sweater that morning can shock the phooey out of every door **** in the city! Too bad our cars aren't electric hybrids. Talk about free energy!

Who was that with "the one and only rolling tesla coil"? Visit central/south Texas in the winter. Then you'll know what static electricity really means!

Then we get the slightest little bit of ice on the roads, and all transportation shuts down. Except for those blasted sand trucks. They don't even give the sun the chance to melt the ice in the morning. Then for the next couple of weeks you can't drive anywhere without the car 300 yards in front of you throwing sand on your hood and adding to the "lustre" of the already infamous Nissan paint. And that stupid sand is so fine in some places that it's more slippery than the ice would have been in the first place!

You guys should see my car. The dust from all the sand on the roads merged with the water from the melted ice. I now have a Flat Sunlit Sand Max with a Grey Lustre undercoat. And I just washed the thing four days ago! Even the tires look like I just got them from Pick & Pull!

On the other hand, congrats on the postponements.
