Need help with nitrous kit.. (long)

ok so i finished install yesterday and i tried squeezing. and guess what nothing. so here it is earlier today i check to see if all the wiring was connected right. i tested all the ground leads with a test light...all grounds are connected.

next i by passed the fpss to see if the solenoids will click on. pressed the in cabin switch and the WOt switch and i passed this test solonoids were clicking ok.

next i reconnect all the wires start the car so i have pressure going through the fpss. now when i hit the button & WOT switch solenoids still click.

so now i know solenoids are working. now what can it be my bottle pressure is at like 900 psi. when i tried squeezing and nothing no gains no pull nothing. what can it be. i am kind of curious of a few things i had adjusted my FPR to be at 43psi at idle. but when i go to wide open trottle im at like 51psi of fuel pressure. is this corrected. i have a .36 bypass jet in the by pass tee. does this sound about right????? or is my fuel pressure suppose to be higner when the system is activated???? and if the solenoids are clicking on on a dry test how come i am getting nothing??? if im at 900psi of bopttle pressure that means i still have nitrous in my bottle right????

any ideas *** to what the problem can be
i have run out of ideas. i know i am getting nitrous to the purge valva at lease because that is about the only thing that works.

thanks
frank

You bypassed your fpss and everything clicked, but when you re-hooked up the fpss, went out for a test, and it didn't work, then your fpss is probably set too high.

However, I really don't know why you are getting such low fuel pressure especially with your Walbro pump. Did you check the all vacuum lines making sure they are secure/air tight & also perhaps the connections around the nitrous pressure regulator (the blue thingy)? You may have a vacuum leak somewhere causing fuel pressure to not bump up high enough...

900psi of bottle pressure w/o a bottle heater means you have around a full bottle.

the funny thing is after i put everything toghter i started the car and ran a test light on the fpss. and i got a good ground on both terminals. so the fuel pressure safty switch is on. at my 43psi setting. souldn't it be off. i mean NOS told me it was set at like 50 psi.

ok so i sould check the nitrous presure regulator for vacum leaks and also check all the vacum lines. ill do that later on today.

so yeah i tryed all the recomendations. i zip tied all the vacum lines. i bypassed the fpss (again) and me and a co worker. " previous experience with nitrous." sort of tinkered with the system. we reved the motor armed the system and hit the button everything worked fine. nitrous went into the motor fuel pressure went up to about 80psi. revs increased. everything sould be good right???

wrong to it out for a test drive and again nothing. no nitrous and the fuel pressure did not increase.

now does anyone have any ideas about why. is the nitrous presure regulator effecting the system under load??? is the nitrous presure regulator suppose to be adjustable?????

here is teh other thing. the cap on the nitrous presure reulator can screw on and off. when i losen the cap fuel pressure goes up to 46 psi and stays there. even if i rev. and when i screw the cap on tight fuel pressure returns to normal.

what the heck is going on????

Congrats on getting the fuel pressure to go up! It is very strange that it won't spray when you trying it out on the road.

1) When you press the accelerator to the floor, are you sure the WOT switch under the hood is being activated (clicking) ???

2) Before you tried testing it out on the street, did you reinstall the fpss or leave it bypassed?

3) If you are sure the WOT switch is being activated when the accelerator is depressed and if you reinstalled the FPSS & all of a sudden it doesn't work when you test it out on the street, then your FPSS is set too high. Having load on the car doesn't determine whether or not the system will activate.

p.s. When the nitrous pressure regulator is unscrewed, there is no vacuum (open leak) so your n/a fuel pressure will max out. If you disconnected the vacuum line to your fuel pressure regulator, the same thing will happen.

the fpss is still bypassed right now.
i did check the WOT switch. interesting i went outside last night to check the WOT switch. and when i move the throttle up the switch is pressed in. and clicks. but when i run a test light to it sit in my car i get no light when i press the gas. DOH!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!!!!!
the WOT switch was clicking but the connection was very weak. i repostioned the wot switch.. hopefully everything will work ok now. freaking stupid. i never tested the wot switch with the gas pedal we have just been clicking it with our hands.

thanks for the help calsonicse

That is what I said to begin with, hehe, just make sure when you have it floored, the WOT switch clicks. Which it sounds like you did. Good Luck and try not to spray so much. Its addicting
