What my cars been doing the last year...

Just thought I'd tell everyone what I've been doing with my max the last year. In November, I dropped it off at a bodyshop that was supposed to do my taillight conversion. It sat there for three months collecting dust and overspray, and so I pulled it and took it to another bodyshop where it sat for another 4 months before I pulled it and brought it home. Since then, I've been installing my police strobes, my interior stuff, my engine stuff, and its starting to look like a car again...kinda. Everything on my car is about 3/4 of the way done, except my bodywork. Heres a link to my pics.

Hopefully it'll be finished by Nov/Dec.

why didn't the shop just tell you they didn't want to do it?

They said that they could do it, but they wanted to take their time and do it right. The first body shop stripped everything, and then cut a part of my quarter panel off, then let it sit there because they didn't know what to do next. The second body shop *almost* started on it, but they finally told me that they were afraid of what would happen if I got rearended because they had to cut away a lot of the support for the trunk lid. I'm in Oklahoma City, and there aren't any body shops here that have done anything like this before. Its going to be going to Houston to JC autobody in Oct/Nov to get the bodywork done.

What lip wing is that, how much was it, and where did you get it?

That is soooo nice, probably the only spoiler i'd ever put on my car.. your car is looking awesome bro, can't wait to see it finished. Are you shaving the moldings/handles or just moldings??

and the center console piece.. sick.

thanks for all the compliments! Its been a lot of hard work and annoying months at body shops, but it will all pay off. Just to let you know, the wing is made by aerogear and is for a 2k accord coupe. Only paid $200 for it from a local shop. It almost fits, there is just a small gap between the lid and the wing on the very back, and the sides will need a little work, but almost perfect fit!

Yeah, I'm getting it painted to match the intake ceramic coating. I'm also going to change all the vacuum hoses back to black.
