Hanabi 6000K HID kit ..... HELP... Bulb going bad??

Well I am a dreaded "pediddle"... I seem to have one of my HID bulbs going out, but I can't tell if the bulb is bad or if it's something to do with any of the wires or starter or ballast.

The body shop put my ballast and starter behind my bumper, so I can see is the connector for the bulb and where I tapped the wires to the stock harness..

Lately the bulb has not been turning on, but randomly will turn on once in awhile, it doesnt cut out once its on and stay on and is just as bright, but here and there I only have one light working..

Is my bulb going bad or could it be something with the starter/ballast???

Thanks... and where is a good place to get bulbs if need be?

Re: Hanabi 6000K HID kit ..... HELP... Bulb going bad??

I've found while working with the 4 sets of headlights and harnesses that I've melted my way through , that the connections tend to stay working when they actually turn on, despite the fact that they may be loose or not. I'm not sure exactly why this occurs, but, assuming it's something comparable in your setup, it sounds like you're having the same sort of thing happening. Check your connections. If your bulb is working periodically, and seems to work perfectly when it *DOES* operate, it's probably fine.

sorry i can't post pics i'm on a webtv & pics don't do justice.

8000k is a little stronger but it has a nice blue to it.

maximumsport the 8000k kit would look great with your blue car.

i spoke to my importer today and he told me that in the last week we sold more 8000k than 6000k. just to give you an idea, he orders about 500 kits a month.
