RVM Racing UDP Install
So monday i finally had some free time and i installed this bad boy. The stock pulley was kinda hard to get off because of the way my big brake kit works. there are so many pistons and ect that when the car isn't moving you can't fully lock the front brakes so my sister was holding the brakes and they were creaping a little and my air compressor is too wussy to break the bolt SO what i had to do is get a long steel rod and wedge it between two of my lug nuts and the ground(this might work for you auto guys too instead of hacking up you flywheel. Even after all that it only took me like an hour cus i knew exactly what to do. The recommeneded belt size for the a/c alternator worked find BUT the 400292 for the PS was WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too short. i coulnd't even walk it on SO i said well i have no other choice to try the stock belt and hopefully i can at least drive to Napa and get the 400300 which is longer BUT the stock belt fit. i had to use pretty much all of the adjustment of the PS pump but it's propery tensioned and fits. the pulley wen't on fine and everything seems to be fine. no weird shakes at high rpms car idles fine. it MIGHT feel a little better mid range but it's tough to say. it got REALLY cold monday too so my butt dyno's where off from teh warmer weather. i'm going to the track friday and dyno sometime in a few weeks and i did have a baseline to go on so we'll be able to compare. Pulley is good way lighter thent eh stock one too. that stock one is like a brick. And for those worried about idle power, i played x-box for an hour last night just sitting at idle with my 1000watt rms stereo blasting and the car never studdered.

1000 rms? At what Ohmage, and for what application (sealed, ported, bandpass (hahaha) & SPL, SQ?)
RF HX^2 Power's will do it. MATT's Juggernaut, but frankly, I think 1k watts for a jugg is a waste
Personally, if I had the money and were going to buy new subs, for 1k watt's a piece, and for mainly SQ purposes (but enough SPL to blow anything else within a 1 mile radius out of the water
), I'd go with an audiomobile MASS sub. They:
a) look amazing
b) sound amazing SPLwise and SQwise
aaaaaaand,
c) 1200w RMS.
Only bummer is the price tag on em. Mind you, it's less than the RF & Juggernauts, but they're still a pricey sub in my book ($5000 of HP mods > $5000 of sound, so anything soundwise is pricey to me now)

ID's are good as well, I forgot about those. I've seen MASS's put out numbers about 1.2dB behind a set of DD's, with the same car and the same amount of power. Considering the DD's are a pure SPL sub that run with the likes of the jugg, that's really damn good
Was he running MASS's? I wouldn't buy anything other than those from Audiomobile, the other subs they have look kinda chintzy.

so far so good. one thing, you should replace the seal while you have the pulley off. i forget about it and didn't but everything is fine my seal was pretty new anyway. but it's cheap and good insurance.

well the reason i didn't freak when i rememeber is i do all my own installs and if it started to leak i would just pull the pulley and repalce it then. but for you who has someone do their installs on harder parts like this i would say do it just to save install money later.
