Need info on which maximas have speakers in pillar
CustomMaxima.com is in the final stages of prototyping our new gauge pillars for 95-2003 Maximas. We are having a difficult time getting a definate answer on which models have the speaker in the pillar. Below is a list of each year and model, if you have the answer please respond so I may update this thread with the correct info or if you feel that something is incorrect please respond.
1995 SE = without bose = no with bose = yes
1995 GXE = without bose = no with bose = yes
1995 GLE = without bose = no with bose = yes (cloth covered)
1996 SE = without bose = no with bose = yes
1996 GXE = without bose = no with bose = yes
1996 GLE = without bose = no with bose = yes (cloth covered)
1997 SE =
1997 GXE = no
1997 GLE =
1998 SE =
1998 GXE = no
1998 GLE =
1999 SE = no
1999 GXE = no
1999 GLE =
2000 SE = yes (with or without bose)
2000 GXE =
2000 GLE =
2001 SE =
2001 GXE =
2001 GLE =
2002 SE = no bose = no With bose = yes
2002 GXE =
2002 GLE =
2003 SE =

Your input is greatly appreciated so we may ensure no fitment problems. These gauge pods will be availabe in both 2 and 3 gauge version.

Regarding 4th gens:
1995 SE = Bose models only
1995 GLE = All
1996 SE = Bose models only
1996 GLE = All
As Sprint says, 95 to 96 GLE models and all I30s (95 to 96 I30s only have pillar speakers) are cloth covered and not plastic.
