Have people experience problem with tranny failure in their max?
was just wondering how many people had tranny problem on their 4gen max...i heard stories on here where people had to replace their tranny and all...was it because of turbo or supercharger?
My auto tranny went out at like 135k miles. I think it went out because I use to raise hell all the time and sometimes manual shifted. But after me going couple monthes without my car, I learned to take care of it. If you got a turbo/supercharger you would need a vb mod, tranny cooler, and probably a new torque converter. I'm not saying that would prevent it from going out because after a year or so I'm sure you would have problems. Get a 5 spd
It really is all relative...
The number of people I see having tranny failures here is *NOTHING* compared to what I see on the various Honda/Acura V6 sites. Those guys have LOTS of failures compared to you guys. The actual failure rate of the Honda/Acura's was confirmed to be only 1.6%, which doesn't even budge Consumer Reports reliability ratings. The percentage for Nissan's will be even better than this by a wide margin.
