EVAP Sensor....

I replaced the EVAP purge valve sensor on Saturday and today(Monday) the CEL came back on with the same code. Does anyone know what causes this to trip the light and why it would go bad if i just replaced it two days ago?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

What number code did you get? I had to replace my EVAP canister valve.

The "decoder" says: EVAP control system/Flow
Mine pointed to the purge valve located in front of the canister which is behind the left rear wheel. It was stuck, full of sand and dirt. My codes were 0903 and 0705. Don't know what to tell you. You only got one code?

Yes, see the sticky thread in the 4th Gen forum. "ECU fault code diagnosis" Maybe check all your vacuum lines are connected?

Hey bud, check the vaccum hoses that go from the canister to the intake plenum. I had the same type of code and it ended up being a vaccum hose that was all messed up. I replaced it and now no CEL and the car idles great.

My bad, you know what? I think I read somewhere that for your car the solenoid is electrical, not vaccum controlled. I'll check into that and let you know.
