Need A Diagnosis

I noticed that when I turn the key to the ACC position (the last position before the engine cranks) it makes a strange noise. The noise can be described as a windup toy noise that last for aprox 1-2 seconds. This noise sounds like it's coming from the area just above and to the left of the throttlebody. As a reference, if you have a stillen FSTB the sound is coming from directly underneath where the Stillen lettering is on the bar. So roughly in the center. I'm not sure what that is. But it looks like there are some sensors connected to it. There's also some clicking noises in the relay box on the right side of the engine bay which happens simultaneously to the windup noise.

Anyone else experience this?

It's your Idle Air Control Valve, I believe it opens up all the way upon start up. So when you turn your key to on, it gets ready. If you listen closely, immediately after your car starts you can hear that valve step back down and stabalize your idle speed.

Tom is correct. Do you normally leave your key like this?! Why is it a problem? (sigh) You people can be so odd.

I was listening to the radio while I was cleaning out the garage. Thus I turned the key to the ACC position. That's when I noticed the sound. Is that a No No?

I was alarmed cause I had never heard this sound before, and it was really loud and "not good" sounding. That's all. Maybe i'm just a noob.

Anyhow thanks for the input guys. This is why the org is invaluable.
