I Just Bought a Max

Feeling good now. I just went and bought My first Max. I got a 94 SE with 154,000 miles for $2250. I have to get some rear brakes, but other than that not a bad deal. The car is in excellent shape other than a few minor fixes that come along with the age. ie: window regulator, passenger side.

I think the guy said the window regulator was out, at least thats what he called it. All I know is that my passenger window won't roll up and down. They said its a common problem and my mechanic said he keeps them on had because they are always in demand.

I used to own a '90 SE and my driver side window quit working. I asked around including the Nissan dealer and everybody told me that it was the window regulator. I went to a junk yard and got me one. The guy at the yard tested the regulator before I bought it by applying 12 volts at the wiring harness. When I got home I did the same thing to the one in my door and to my surprise it worked just fine. To make a long story short, the problem was that the whole power door lock/power window electronic control module was bad (yeah, that thing in the left door panel). Good luck.
