MAF Question

This is a question for you technical guys. I took my MAF sensor off the car today and noticed there is a little resistor attached to it. I was wondering was would be the effects of changing that resistor. Is it possible to replace it with one of higher or lower resistance and possibly see gains. I supspect probably not and that there is a chance of frying some internals. Thanks for any input.

best thing to do, is not mess with the MAF unless absolutly necessary, it's one piece you don't want to screw up, just ask chinanitrous he's blown through 2 of em and they cost a pretty penny to replace

SHUT UP Just joking.....yes..ive blow 2...on my third one..even with the apexi dry filter. as for Mr Juice..STEP AWAY FROM THE MAF....PUT THE MAF DOWN!
Dont touch it..dont breathe on it, dont spray it with anything and dont change it. Just be careful theyre super sensitive.
