Safety Stuff: Questions about Airbags and Wheel Locks.
1.) Is there a sure fire way to determine whether the airbags in a car are good/have been replaced/deployed previously? Are there laws making used dealers accountable/respsonsible for damages/verifying airbags before reselling?
I'm the market for a used 4G and this has me a little concerned.
2.) Does anyone put more than one locking lug on each wheel?

1) Run the VIN number and get a car-fax report. That should tell you if the car has been in an accident. A heavy hit would have deployed the SRS system. There's nothing wrong with replacing an SRS system after it's been activated. Notice I said replaced. You cannot repair the system, it gets replaced and only a certified Air Bag system specialist can work on that system. Your everyday mechanic is not liscensed to test, or replace SRS systems.
2) Sure, the more locks, the harder or longer it's going to take a thief to get your wheels.
