Probably the cost of changing the driver CV shaft. They gotta pull that out, probably be $70 labor or so, for about an hours worth of work. Dont quote me on this, I never go to the dealer so I'm just guessing.

Why did the seal fail? Bet Nissan comes back and tells you your tranny diff. bearings are toast too. Thats what causes the seals to fail.

Well remember I had busted cv axle boot? So me and some other SE guys replaced the axle and put new seal. I am guessing that the seal was not installed correctly? Because before we replaced the axle, everything down there was more than perfect.

When you took the old seal out, were you carefull not to scratch the tranny case where the seal seats? Also, it's possible you may have cut the seal with the spline shaft of the new axel when you put it back in. The seals are very easy to install, not much to go wrong. Why don't you DIY one more time and see if you can stop the leak yourself? Save ya a few $$$, you've done it once already, should be really easy this go around.

Well I just had nissan replace mine. Mother F%#$ers!!!! Dammit worst car experianc eof my life. Well The charged me 250 dollars for a freaking rebuilt axel, and 70 dollars for 2 hours of labor. But I have a warranty so they paid for it. But they screw me over on the wait. We waited freakin 6 hours. 3 hours to get the part, and 3 to install it. Stupid mechanic kept dropping his wrench, he had no idea what he was doing. Good I hate nissan, *******s. They wouldn't even let me drive a 350z while I was waiting. But they suck. go buy one and do it yourself, I don't think it woudl eb hard just get someone to help with the lifting as such.
