Exhaust Tips: Chrome vs. SS ...want to upgrade to bigger ones

Ever since I put my Stillen kit on, you can't really see my exhaust tips from the side of the car. I want bigger tips to give it a more aggressive look. My current tips are Round, Chrome, 6" long with a 3.5" width/outlet diameter. They are too conservative for me. Here's an old pic b4 the Stillen kit:

I want to upgrade to around 7" long w/a 4"+ width/outlet diameter. I found some I like that are made by Pilot:

Only problem is that they are SS. Why do most companies tend to go with SS over Chrome? Can SS be just as shiny? I can't find any Chrome ones like that anywhere.

Thanks for any input.

Well they thing is that they are bolt on! So I could avoid that. I'm kinda skeptical about how they will hold up though
