2004 Maxima SE Pics from Detroit Auto Show by motorvate.ca

Want to see the inside of the 2004 Maxima? How about that "Sky Roof"?

Drop by www.motorvate.ca and click on "Autoshows", Detroit 2003-2004 Maxima SE" to see my comments and pictures. (interior and exterior, twelve pics in all )

The car looks great in person. Very nice lines. Here is a sample picture:

I left the show at 4:00 PM, drove for four hours to get back home, had a quick dinner, and updated the web site. (all just for you )

Enjoy!

so you didn't read this description underneath...

6th Generation (2004)
Discussion of the anticipated arrival of the redesigned Maxima. V6 or V8? Front wheel drive or all wheel drive? How many horsepower will it have? Come see what others are speculating.

Just another car I have to get use to. I don't think that the 4th gen can ever be beaten.

i was thinking kinda opposite, the center console looks old school (everything under the NAV screen that is).

Very few cars have an uglier grille than that! The rest of the car is OK... Still can't believe Nissan designed this ugly duckling when they were on a role with the G35 sedan/coupe, and the 350Z. Even the M45 and Murano look pretty decent when seen in person.

Doesn't bode well for the future of Maxima.org...

I sat in the Maxima with 3 friends at the auto show yesterday. Seats are awesome. You cannot fit 3 in the back seat though because of the console. The rear cupholder is cool until you try to close it - it's cheesy. Fit and finish inside is definatly not as good as my 97. It did not make me want to buy one. The G35 coupe on the other hand - man is that a sweet car. They had a red and light blue one I sat in.

UM w/ a maxima that big you can't fit 3 ppl? The new maxima is disappointing...

You cant fit 3 people in the backseat, which I wouldnt expect because of the rear middle console which contains the rear cupholders. I like the double "sky roof" thingy but in terms of style, both interior and exterior, I dont think I like the new 6th gen. I have to see it in person to make my final decision.

(I totally agree with you, and mean no disrespect; I thought it appropriate since I am pretty sure that some third gens will call us 'we-tall-did' )

Hey I just saw the commercial for this car, oh wait that was the Saturn Ion.

I really do think that the sedan with smooth boddy moldings is more appealing than a bubble car, I think Nissan is going the wrong way, just like they did with the skyline to GTR concept.

I agree...but since I'm not a designer for Nissan, I guess we're screwed
