will full metallic pads eat stock rotors?

i got some rotex gold metallic pads the other day for a friend who bought new nissan front rotors. now though he is panicking that the full metal pad will eat his new rotors away. the pads in question are not rated 'race', or 'high performance' or anything that would suggest they are overly harsh on rotors but i never had any experience with them on stocks.

i use them on my new slotted disks and have no problem but dunno about the OEM parts.

If you use the car a lot and drive it hard, the metal pads WILL wear the rotor down quicker. Otherwise, MAYBE, slightly higher wear may occur...but not enough to notice.

after a few track days depending on how bad the pads are you might notice

but stock rotors are cheap

next time choose a street pad if you friend is so concerned

well he bought them and told me to pick 'some good pads' since his local place didn't have the right size. we'll put them on and see how it goes.

thanks

Are you sure they aren't SEMI-metallic? I have never seen full metallic pads on something other than full race etc..

BTW. Maximas come stock w/ semi-metallic pads.

if he's worried about it, he can get organic pads. I don't think organics could be good cause they looked like pressed together old newspapers. but they are quiet and nice to rotors.
