Dispute with dealer?

I have a "friend" that recently got lubed up at the dealer recently...He went to get his problem fixed, and 4 coils were dead, so he just said to replace all 6....they charged him about $500 for parts, and another $200 for labor...the $200 was even a "break"...Now my friend at the time, didn't consult with me, and didn't know I could've changed his packs in less than 15 minutes...Can he go back to the dealer, tell him that it shouldn't have taken much longer than 15-20 minutes to do the work, and have some kind of dispute? thx.

probably means ... if they didn't single your friend out there's nothing he can do about it. If they did 15 of these jobs for $25 then charged your friend $500 he might have a shot at getting some money back but he'd need a lawyer.

basically he took it dry and has to learn a lesson from it.
