Maxima Engine Question

Are 1989 Maxima engines the same as 1990's by any chance? Any response is appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

Actually yes, I'm about to do an intake manifold and valve covers for a guy with a 1989 Maxima. I wanted to be sure the cores I got from a 1990 would fit his car. Thanks for your help! You guys want me to post pics when I'm done assuming he decides to have me do it?

Cool..I want to see how well the steel sheet metal valve cover from the VG would turn out polished.

So, they're steel... I thought they might be, but I asked the guy specifically if they were aluminum or not and he said they were. Maybe I'll just powder coat them "Almost Chrome" for him... But at any rate, I better get back to him on those, thanks for the heads up 1max2nv, this is the first Maxima I've done so I'm not real experienced with the engine designs and layouts yet.
