Tires for 2000 SE R17
Tires for 2000 SE R17
Hey guys...just found this wonderful forum and joined...
I actually have a question the first day
Which tires would you recommend for a 2000 SE with R17's?
Right now I'm looking at the Kumho ECSTA KH11's...they're rated pretty good at tirerack...
Suggestions gladly welcomed...

Do a search for tires...you'll come up with a lot of good material to help you out.
Personally, I just put Michelin Pilots on mine in place of the Potenzas...world of difference. A little expensive, but hey, my life is riding on these things. I had Kumhos too when I had my rims, the Ecsta Supra 712s or something like that. I really didn't care for them. The wet traction wasn't so good. The Michelins have done me well in the snow and rain so far. I highly reccomend them.

No one can answer this tire you should get. That's like a stranger coming up to me on the street and ask me what car he should buy (of course I would say the Maxima but you know what I mean).
It depends on 1) your budget 2) your driving style (how much traction will you really need) 3) the climate where you live (Southern California or North Dakota?) 4) Do you want one set for the entire year or 2 sets (winter and summer).
Anyway, way too many variables to be able to recommend a tire.
Search around. There's always a few active tire threads here at any given time.
