Pics of oil drain plug magnet in action

This is after about 3400 miles on the oil (Penzoil syn). Bill should be happy, I'll be sending out an oil analysis tomorrow.

The magnet is 3/16 inch cube, neodymium and gold plated (picked a few of them up from ebay a while back). I used a drop of epoxy to make it stay in place. I've installed it about a year ago and its still working great. Catches the really fine particles, maybe smaller than what the filter can trap.
