Strange clanging noise coming from the rear.

I just had the ACT clutch installed.

That in itself is going to get some getting used to.

When I let out the clutch (in first gear) I can hear a lot of clanging coming from the rear of my car ... I thought it was my coilovers (GC) but I'm more inclined to think it's my exhaust system now.

Does it make any sense that after the install of this clutch my car vibrates a lot more?

BTW .. I have a Cattman y, budget B & HKS muffler on a 2000 Maxima.

Could it be that my mounts are too soft and I need something stiffer?

Any suggestions as to how I can exactly diagnose this problem?

Tkx!

Well the act clutch has a lower release point.. Are you releasing it too much before you give it gas to the point where your car just vibrates like mad when it's about to stall out? Look under your car. Make sure your hangers are still ok and that the exhaust isn't rattling or anywhere from the Y-pipe,cat,b-pipe.. etc.

Actually yes ... should I be giving it gas before then? I just want to make sure this clutch lasts a bit longer than the oem one did.

Hangers "look" ok ... they feel a bit soft .. but I don't know if they came that "soft" or the passage of time has made them that way. Do you know where I can get hangers online?

Tkx ... ciao!
