11.912et @ 117.39mph - 1.829-60'
I basically had the same set up as my 12.2 run last week. But I took off my Adco RSB, FSTB, front and rear bumper reinforcements and the slicks now have rim srews and tubes. I think the tubes and screws really help the slicks because I got my best 60' of 1.778 at 13.5psi, I tried lower, down to 11pisi but that gave only 1.8xx.
Thats it for me for race trim, I will probably go back to the track with street trim a few times just to see what she will do in the real world with out slicks etc. Now to focus on the motor project.
Thanks to all those who helped me along the way, Phil, Steve(Chicago), Jime, John at J&S, even Don. Thanks to my moral support crew, Del, Brett, Jason. And a special shout out to my wife Anne!!! Dam I got it good, a wife who puts up with this insanity. And last but not least thank you Jesus!
Wooohooooo FASTEST MAXIMA IN THE USA!!!

First of all, let me say this; woooooooohooooooo!
Secondly I want to say, I sure would like to see the drivers face in the left lane; "I thought that was a maxima?! I better hit the bottle to beat this grocery getter." WOW that is one fassssst MAX.

Mardigrasmax....you are the MAN. Give almost any other import the exact mods you have and i'm sure it's engine would either blow or they wouldn't get nearly as good a time.
An amazing motor, the VQ, driven by a Maxima Pioneer, Matt.
Great job!

You have the power, now its time to refine to the driver. The more you get used to your added power, the faster you are going to run that 1/4.
Congrats!!!

You can say "well if a turbo had the things mardi had...blah blah blah" but till that day comes, turbo disciples need to STFU.

It's ironic that while the turbo's produce a lot more power, the fastest Maxima is Supercharged.

Great Stuff Matt. Couldn't happen to a better guy. At last the Fastest Max argument has been put to rest.
This is our first day above freezing in about 3 months now I am getting randy.

hi craigy.. remember me..
thats ironic.. Matt has been tuning is car longer than the first mass produced turbo kit came out... obviously he has a head start..
no you need to stop quoting other people's numbers and other people's accolades and taking them for your own.
next thing you know... craigy's daddy will buy him all the mods that Matt has and he too will own an 11 second Maxima

No video, sorry, none of the local guys wanted to come out. its $30 for test & tune at Maryland International Raceway, sorta pricey but its the best track in the area. The other guys are all going to Capitol Raceway, its only $15, but they all say you will run faster at MIR. Yes allot of people cant believe it. On test and tune days they will pair you up with what ever. 11.499 is the trap for manditory cage at this track, so Ive got a few tenths to go yet.
It only took me 1hr45min to unload all my stuff, slicks, tool box, air tank, jack, put the spare, mini jack, floor mats, trunk carpet, front pass and rear seats, rear bumper reinforcement and street muffler on. Not to bad! The rear bubumper support is very heavy, worth the effort. The front is a PIA, perhaps not worth the effort, its not that heavy. I did use my cordless drill on most of the bolts in the transformation from street to race trim and back, it makes it go SOOOO much faster, thanks Steve for that idea.
