Is the JWT ECU going to pay for itself???
I filled up my gas tank the day I recieved my JWT ECU (last Wednesday). And you know, I've been driving my car a little hard lately, taking it to 7000rpm on occasion, winding it to 6000 often, etc. Needless to say, I've been flogging my car a lot more than usual. I filled up my tank today and calculated my fuel mileage. It came out to be a whopping 24.2mpg!!!! Before the ECU, I was only getting 21-22mpg with much less flogging and the same driving cycle (about 80% city). The temps really haven't changed much and the I use the same gas station. I'd imagine my MPG will go up even higher now that I won't be driving as hard.
Any other JWT ECU owners note this?

You can run a 96 ECU in the 97 and apparantly the same goes for the 98 seeing that Mardigras is running a 96 G-Force ECU in his 98 and Neal was running a stock 98 auto ECU in his 96 5 speed before he got his JWT ECU (96 vintage).

The 95 ECUs mostly have XX/94 labels seeing that the 95 was available in September of 94. The ECU I got was a "from 11/95" ECU due to the late build of my 96 SE (March of 96). You need to find out when your car was built (look in the drivers side door jam) and from there you can determine which version you need. BTW, it will be a XX/96 model.

Ah I see I see.
So theoretically if one could find a 99 ecu and send it in to them they could start working on cracking the code and then being able to do the 99's????
Well, someone with cash start it up.....my suspension just killed me

Wouldn't work for the JWT applicaiton - I called JWT this morning - I need 11/95 at the latest, but will have to live with a CEL.

Crap, now I have to look at the date of the 96 ECU I have in my closet. BAH!!

I don't know sounds like a good excuse to get one though and I have a 96
When does the rev limiter kick in on the stock ECU? I was taking my car to 7,000 rpm last weekend against a 2k2, is their anyway to tell the difference between a reprogramed ECU and a stock one?

Well, the ECU I got is supposed to be off a 96 maxima. So I guess I'll be okay. =) Thanks for the info. I went nuts for about 5 minutes searching for the info on the ECU.
