What if someone came up with a supercharger that was DC and ran off the battery for the required voltage. It could be plugged into the throttle position sensor to get a reading for blower speed just like nitrous systems do. It could just sit inline with the cai or something. Basically the same as a belt driven supercharger, but with its own motor. maybe you could convert a 200mph electric leaf blower to work well. If you can make one that is good for at least 30 hp, and costs under $500, then give me a call.

They have stuff like this... doesn't work. The amount of current draw you'd need to spin a fan fast enough to make power is probably going to over load your alt.

I attempted something like this on a mounted chainsaw motor once. Had a small motor and fan, blowing into a cone connected to a duct going to the motor's intake. I don't think it quite worked as planned.

BTW, check out http://www.electricsupercharger.com
