That was the stupidest article ive ever seen in a magazine, I actually have that issue. What a waste of an article and a car, but still kinda humerous to say the least A stock 2k2 6spd will run that # stock

I really don't think it's that stupid. For many people it is a good demonstration of the effects of weight reduction, which many people over and underestimate.

yeah, they did do a lot of weight reduction ... but how many people are actually gonna take that course of action to lose 2 secs off their 1/4 mile ... if they wanna lose 2 secs they'll buy a new car ... plus that car is junk now. they can't drive it around on the streets because it's illegal and dangerous

That's exactly my point. All that work, removing the majority of the chassis, and they only lose 2 seconds. So in reality, how much is a carbon-fiber hoor or fiberglass front end really going to help?

Yeah you kinda have a point there, but it was all fun and games until they busted out a sawzaa. Thats when it got really stupid.
