My Starter went today
My Starter went today (well the other day really). If you read my other post you'll know that I was blowing a 30amp fuse, which meant a huge current spike. I pulled out my starter and took it to Autozone to get it tested. It worked at first, but it was a little lazy so it took longer to spin up. Eventually after a few tests it locked up completely. Obviously this is what happened in my car to repeatedly blow the fuse.
I have never heard of anyone's starter going this way, but if you ever have this problem learn from my experience. I had always heard of people's starters going gradually (which I never noticed from mine) .

When my starter went out I thought the battery was dead at first, but then after hooking it up to get it jump started (portable) it showed the juice was fine. Then I figured it was the starter, so I had a friend try and start it while I tapped it with a screw driver, it started right away and I drove it to have the starter replaced under warranty.
