I read in a consumer report about the G35 sedan and in that they said something about how Infinity wants to seperate their cars from Nissans a little more. They spoke of a possible all-wheel drive model in the future. Has anyone else heard of this? I looked through pages of threads and didn't see anyone post about it, just curious. I love my Galant VR4, I hate to drive my Max ever since I bought it. An all-wheel drive Max/I35 however would be cool.

 

Well, Infiniti could go either way with awd. The Maxima's FF-L chassis is the same as the Murano's. Thus, a 3rd gen I35 based on the same platform could possibly have awd.

On the other side of the coin, we could just end up with an awd version of the G35. The FM platform is available with awd as well. The Skyline is available in Japan with ATTESA-ETS awd, like the Infiniti FX crossover Utes here in the States.
