Smoking lights...

I am going to smoke the corner lights on my 2k max, b/c they would look good with my black car. I don't want it dark, I want it a light gray or black. Do I need to sand the light some to make the paint stick? What type of paint and where to get it? Thank you.

Get some fine sandpaper and smooth it all out. I used Testor's tint spray, but I didnt like the tint look especially with a bulb in it, so I went all the way black and took out the bulb.

That got me nervous. I am also planning on doing your SE look taillights. Any tips and instructions, if I remember correctly you used a dull paint with clearcoat. What would happen with glossy?

Gotcha, thanks.
What do you all think about the gray smoke on the corners like in the project maxima.
