I thought of that. I would have preferred steel. But considering they make hubcentric rings out of plastic, I'm not too worried. Another idea is to cut these to a long length. Then I can solve my rotor and Cobra rim hubcentric problems at once. Haven't checked to see if the rotor/wheel lug holes are exactly the same or not yet though. But they look close.

Jeff you think you got pics of this piece you are talking about. Im trying to visualize this adapter but seeing way too many in my head. Is it like a transition copper adapter like from 1/2 to 3/4 style? Maybe Im thinking of something totally wrong.

It will be quite interesting to see what happens during ABS activation. Do you guys have ABS?

Are you trying to infer the hard braking would stress the copper enough to damage it? I don't think it will The adaptors would act like a centering device. They don't really hold any significant load IMHO. That's the lugnut's job. ie.. why we have 5 instead of 4. Also Ash of the Z forums has used these rotors w/o the copper on this Z. He had custom machined hub rings installed. Like I said before, I take this stand because hubcentric rights are fequently made of plastic. They would be subject to some of these same braking loads also.

It's a copper fitting. 3/8" to a threaded npt fitting on the other side. These fittings are probably 2x as thick as the normal straight tubing. The threaded part is of course too big but the other side where it's supposed to be soldered is of a really nice thickness.
