A Maxima will do 0-60 in 7 seconds, give or take depending on mods, year, and bleh. Please don't tell me that anything made by VW not including Audi can beat my 5th gen manual. If any can please tell me which so I can go find one and beat, I hope.

Why be so narrow minded? >>

Sit back, relax and realize that sometimes in life, you don't always drive in a straight line. A VW GTI or Audi A4 will outcorner a Maxima anyday.

Well, I only have a4th gen auto...but. Once I got absolutely SMOKED by a new Jetta that appeared to only have intake and exhaust and some big rims. It was a VR6 and he passed like I was standing still.....as I had it floored passing through 100mph. So watch out.

Ive owned a couple of VR6's in the past. One was kept bone stock (172 hp), the other heavily modded (360 hp).

Stock 5th gen 5 speed vs. stock VR6 (Jetta or Golf) will be a decent race, but a Maxima will win 99% of the time.

Since Ive gotten the Max, Ive raced a friend or two in a VR6...even stock Ive never lost. My best effort was against a heavily modded and lightened (about 2600 lb) naturally aspirated VR6 GTI (big valve head, headers, exhaust, intake, chip, cams, lightened flywheel, racing clutch, suspension, etc, etc). I didnt win, but it was a dead even tie at 90 mph. But, I call that a win as I was bone stock at the time My friend still refuses to admit the result

As far as a VR6 blowing by a Maxima, there are 2 reasons:

-nitrous

- forced induction.

Id guess nitrous Lots of us used to run it

Hay Albertt, If you are still colecting headlights

I found a 1 piece Infinti Q45 headlight on ebay for $30.They miss spelled it though so you have to type in Infinty Q45.Just thought I would mention it.

As for a VR6 Golf they were tested 0-60=6.7 so like I said dead even.

I would say that a 1992-1994 VW Corrado >>>>>>

would give the Maxima a good run for the money. They have the VR6 engine but are geared beter than the GTI. I tested one one time brand new from a dealership and with a 225 pound salesman with me we did 2 0-60 times with my Vericom Performance Computer of 6.7 secs. He got out of the car and I was able to do 2 more 0-60 runs with times of 6.4 secs. This of course was with some fast as* shifting and great launching techniques. Do not underestimate those cars they are pretty quick with a good driver.
