What type of Fuel pressure guage do you guys have
#1
I was looking at the autometer with the fuel pressure isolator its a autometer part # 3313. but I hear they are hard to install and inacurate, also this guage shows 15 PSI, but if our lines max out at about 85-90 PSI how does it read, or what guage should I be looking for?

I have an Autometer 3309, its a 2-1/16" Sport-Comp electrical "short sweep". It is quite accurate. it has aided my with my NOS dry kit tuning greatly, I recomed it. I also have a small mechanical fluid filled FP gauge attached to my FPR. The electrical gauge is quite acurate when compared to the mechanical. The Autometer full sweep is more accurate, but I think its only available in 2-5/8".
What you need is for it to be acurate but mostly for it to be consistant in its readings. So when you tweek the pressure level it shows consistantly the same readings. If its off by a few PSI on the actual pressure its not that big of a deal because you should be tuning on a dyno and using a wide band 02 to monitor a/f ratio changes.

autometer makes 100PSI fuel pressure gauges. if you like the sport comp style then #3312 is the 2 1/16" version and #3412 is the 2 5/8" version, but both of these are mechanical gauges and don't have the isolator, so they're supposed to be mounted on the outside. if you want to mount the gauges on the inside then you have to get the ones that come with the electric sender. again, for the sport comp style - #3363 is the 2 1/16" version and #3563 is the 2 5/8" version. both of these have an electric sender and you can mount it inside the car.

Those are mechanical gauges. You can't mount those inside the car. That's why all the Mustang guys mount them on their hood. I thought they were just weird until I figured out the difference between the two. You don't want 40psi of fuel inside your car. Imagine a crash with all that fuel shooting towards your eyes. You need a electrical ones. The are two types. Short sweep and the full sweep. Short sweep is alot cheaper ~$60, the full sweep ~$150. The difference with full sweep is the numbers are further apart so it is easier to read. You can get these in Sport comp, ultra light...basically different styles.
