1) The car doesn't run 12's because he has never ran it at a track. Like i said.. Single Turbo Supra's that can beat 11 second cars run 12's and 13's at the track, just because cars beat cars on the highway doesn't mean the owner knows how to launch it. IF that was the case then everyone on this board with y pipe and intake with a 5spd would own a 14 second car and we already know that they don't.

2) Your friend is taking LS1's and BPU++ Supra's on the highway, lets see here.. those cars run traps of high teens.. so that would mean that your friend's maxima is running low 120's.. so that would make your friends car a low to mid 11 1/4 mile maxima

3) keep the magazine racing on the honda forums.. most of us here actually know what hte fck we are talking about..

do yourself a favor and go play in traffic

 

I'm not focusing on his 1/4 mile times. I really dont care. I was just giving my own estimate based on the cars he beats on the freeway. I don't care what a corvette runs in the 1/4 mile, I dont care what supras run in the 1/4 either. The point is he is currently approaching 400 WHP on nitrous. Whether or not he actually goes to the track and runs 12's is another story. He has the potential to do it and will stomp on many cars from a roll. The original poster didn't ask who the best driver is. I'm just pointing out the fact that most Maximas arent making enough HP to get to 11's in the first place, driver skill aside, that's why MardiGrasMax's times are a special case. And I'm sure he's an excellent driver. I personally don't really mind if I don't run 11's, which was the point of my original post. 12's would be alright with me. So if the sole purpose in your life is to flame others, maybe YOU need to play in traffic.

 

Why claim a number then if you don't have proof, that's the question. Why would you boost that much, spend that coin, then not even want to know how fast you are? I'd be at the track faster than Anna Nicole can eat a canned ham

 

Because not everybody lives their lives a 1/4 mile at a time. Some are just interested in freeway power.

so why did you bring up the point that his car is close to them then? and how do you know his car is about 400 WHP? where is the nitrous? or are you basing your facts on others cars again? and what pulley size is he running?

has potential.. what virtual land are you living in? if its not done.. its not done.. someone else driving matts car probably will run 13's.

Man I run 12s...I cant wait till my Max can go as fast as me on foot.

 

i know of a max that should be around 11.5 next time it hits the track........at the end of the month, and yes i'm claiming it, but you guys will know soon enough

I have a hard time from a dead stop, auto, and my car weighs 3350 LBS with me in it. I am not going to take everything out of it to run the 1/4 .. why ?? this is how I run on the street.

And Hanging with cars that are outta my league @ 70-140 MPH is more fun to me than the 1/4 mile...

I didnt post here to argue with you anymore. I've concluded it's pointless and not worth it and have realized it's your job to weed out the BS'ers. But Here is the link to his dyno post and homepage with list of mods. Third most powerful Max on the .org. Gtr_rider also knows this guy and can vouch for how fast the car is. And as for this car not being mine, I really dont mind. Im satisfied with gawking for now. Mine is stock, other than a cheap intake mod. But it was sorta pointless to mention it without timeslips I guess. The only reason I did was cuz someone mentioned the fact that most other tuner car groups have plenty of cars in the elevens and twelves. The real question should be, why aren't there more Max owners putting down at least 300 HP to the wheels?

BTW: The 35 shot has since been upgraded to 75

like i said.. you can have a 11 second car.. unless you run at the track with it.. it doesn't mean ****, and that was my original point of view..

difference between Matt and Jime and other maxima owners is that they actually go to the track.. on the SupraForums they call this Dyno Queens..

Your car is a 400 hp car when you dyno 400 hp
Your car is an 11 second car when you run 11 seconds at the track

not before.. and only after..
