Alright, right under your window are to plastic brackets that hold the window to the regulator arm. When he slammed it, he must have broke a leg from on the plastic holder so the window doesnt stay in place.

I hope I do this right Yeah the clips have broken.U have to replace the whole regulator at about $180 bucks installed...I've done two of em on my 94 GLE. I now carry a emergency window hold up kit with me in case the other two back windows decide to fall..(couple flat sticks and some hard cardboard).I hope my 03 holds up better than my 94

Seems to be a common problem in the 3rd gens, but not sure about the 5th gens. I replaced my front passenger regulator in my '89SE(about $170 installed). My back right window also quit working (guessing it was the regulator as well). It held up, so I just never used it, instead of getting it fixed. It was still like that when I sold the car. But, it does sound like it's the regulator in yours. Best thing to do is just get it fixed, and hope for more careful people next time.

I do beleive I heard that it was a bad design and Nissan was going after the manufauturer...but it dosen't help us any. I just hope they have corrected this problem for the newer versions.
